We are a Capoeira Group located in Kyoto, Osaka, Nara Japan. We are a contemporary style capoeira group but also study Regional and Angola, styles completely divided. We try not to mix the styles by understanding, practicing, playing and knowing the differences, history and rituals. Please feel free to come visit our classes. - Our next group Roda will be on the 28th May, at Health Pear Kyoto. The last 30minutes of the class.

- Classes almost every day in Kyoto, 2 days a week in Osaka and Nara. Free trial class exepted. We've also started having capoeira classes for kids.

As you know, capoeira is expanding all over the world from the origin of Bahia,Nordeste do Brasil, to the U.S, Europe, Australia and now Asia and Japan.
There are approximately 50 capoeira groups as far as I can see here in Japan, and they are training with strong enthusiasm, and good understanding upon this Dance-Fight-Game brazilian culture.
I hope this web site would be in more needs for the capoeiristas out side of Japan, to understand and see what's going on here in Japan within the capoeira world. To keep so, I hope to be able to keep on uploading informations and pictures of the events and Batizados etc that are constantly held here in Japan. There are more heat in twords the East region including Tokyo, and unfortunatly I live in the western region of Japan, so maybe I wouldn't be able to see the rescent capoeira scene in Japan. But here in Kyoto Japan we have more than 200 capoeiristas including other groups, and are all practicing very hard. I hope some travelers who stop by at Kyoto will eventually stop by and train or have a "jogo" with us here someday.

I'm also a student of this mystical art, and everyday learning and studying from capoeira.
There are still so much more to work on this web site but gradually I'm working on the english page. Don't stop your Ginga, and let's keep up the passion of capoeira inside each one of us.

Also, our group welcomes any visiters to come and train with us, feel free to ask any questions of any kind.
